Director & Chartered Surveyor

Appointed as Mineral Agent to the Duchy of Cornwall, Josh founded J J Conibear in May 2024 after leading the Mineral Estates Department for Wardell Armstrong LLP in Truro and serving as a Rural Estates Surveyor for the Duchy of Cornwall. His extensive background in estate management and project delivery spans a diverse portfolio, from large mineral operations to renewable energy developments and rural estate projects.
 
A Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Institute of Quarrying (IQ), Josh brings a wealth of technical expertise in mineral extraction, renewable energy development, valuation, planning, and contract negotiation. He is passionate about delivering innovative, sustainable solutions that create long-term value for clients and stakeholders.

Daisy Conibear

Commercial Surveyor

Daisy is a Commercial Surveyor at Conibear Surveyors, recognised for her detail oriented and data-driven approach, with a particular interest in computer programming as it applies to financial analysis, investment appraisal, and property management. She began her professional career in ecology before undertaking a five-year apprenticeship in Commercial Property Valuation.

Charlott recently joined the team at Conibear Chartered Surveyors, bringing with her a strong background in Business Administration. She is enthusiastic about supporting the firm’s marketing initiatives, strategic business planning, and day-to-day administrative operations. With her analytical mindset and creative approach, Charlott plays an important role in helping the team grow and streamline business processes.

Consultant Geometric Surveyor

As a Consultant Geometric Surveyor, Logan focuses on applying innovative methods to deliver accurate and insightful surveying outcomes. Specialising in advanced aerial surveying, he combines cutting-edge drone technology with traditional geomatic principles to deliver safer, more efficient, and cost-effective solutions for complex projects. His work focuses on producing highly accurate 3D mapping and spatial models that support smarter decision-making in the field.
 
With a strong background in large-scale civil engineering and surveying, Logan approaches every project with precision, dedication, and a results-driven mindset. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence ensure that each survey not only meets technical standards but also adds meaningful value to clients and their teams.

Ben Sumpter

Consultant Researcher

Ben is a multi-disciplinary research consultant specialising in mining history and mineral rights. He is owner and founder (2019) of Cornwall Underground Adventures providing adventure activities in Cornish mines. Ben has had a diverse career, specialising in mineral rights research since 2016 and has since developed portfolios for landed estates and mining companies alike. As a heritage consultant, he is a researcher specialising in planning and development within the Cornwall and West Devon Mining World Heritage Site.
